The King of Clay beat South Africa’s Kevin Anderson in straight sets; 6-3, 6-3, 6-4 to win his second Grand Slam title of the calendar year, a feat he had not accomplished since 2013. Nadal, now 31, is now 3 titles away of Roger Federer’s Grand Slam record of 19.
Asked about his resurgence in the sport, Nadal summed it up in one word, “passion”.
